Around June 2020. During the first COVID lockdown. A group of friends made a game where we all suggest a song and they got divvied out by The Great randomiser. We got a couple of weeks to produce a recording of the song we were given before the listening party on Zoom. Five of the ten I recorded were decent.

I started writing this song in 2015, sometime after Liz came to visit me in my “single man house”. Finished writing and recorded it in 2017 at the first house we shared.

A collaboration with long time musical collaborator, former bandmate and first wife Claud. Written and recorded amidst the mayhem of our children’s early lives.

Recorded in Oxfordshire, Dorset and Cornwall while me and my studio were having an itinerant pase. I tried (and often failed) to keep the recording simple enough to play with a three piece band.
